Ed Christopher Sheeran is a British singer-songwriter who moved from his native Framlingham, Suffolk to London in 2008 to pursue a music career. Releasing an indie EP, No. 5 Collaborations Project, Sheeran earned fans in musicians Elton John and Jamie Foxx and was signed to Asylum Records shortly after. In 2011, Sheeran released his debut studio album, +, featuring singles “The A Team” and “Lego House,” and to date has been certified gold in the U.S. Sheeran and pal Taylor Swift wrote and recorded the song “Everything Has Changed” together for inclusion on Swift’s fourth studio album, Red, in 2012. Once romantically linked to Swift, Sheeran is said to also have wooed Selena Gomez in the wake of her 2013 split from Justin Bieber. Sheeran confirmed in July 2019 that he married longtime love Cherry Seaborn. The twosome welcomed their first child, daughter Lyra Antarctica, in August 2020 and their second daughter in May 2022.
